The conference celebrated the work of organisations such as Kainos Community, Hope into Action and Reflex in supporting prisoners and ex-offenders through practical and Christian support and care.

One former Challenge to Change participant, Carl (pictured), shared his experience of the programme and how this had helped him to stay crime-free following release.

Carl was awarded the Chairman’s Award at Kainos’ and Langley House Trust’s House of Lords Annual Review launch earlier this year for his success in rebuilding his life following Challenge to Change.

Other notable speakers included James Timpson, CEO of Timpsons, which has pioneered employment for inmates and former offenders, Andrew Selous, Minister for Prisons, Probation and Rehabilitation and The Rt Rev James Langstaff, Bishop of Rochester and recently appointed Bishop to Prisons.
