Cycling for Change

Dee Spurdle, the Kainos Volunteering and Mentoring Manager who organised the event said

It was a privilege to cycle alongside the participants in HMP Stocken who are on the Challenge to Change programme, these individuals are challenging themselves to change their attitude, thinking and behavour to break the cycle of offending.

I would like to say a big thank you to all the volunteers who contributed their time by cycling, a great team effort from everyone.  By joining together you encouraged individuals to change their lives for the better.

The 650 miles was the equivalent distance of cycling between some of our prisons and Langley project locations – starting in Taunton and ending in Lancashire.

Our thanks go to Titan’s Gym, Oakham, which is based on the old prison site of HMP Ashwell, which donated its facilities to help complete the Bikeathon.
